From The Pastor – July 2020

Hello Church Family,

Happy Fourth of July! I am proud to be an American. Someone once said to be an American you had to watch baseball, eat hotdogs, and love apple pie, and drive a Chevrolet. So, I guess you could say i am quite American if that is all it takes, because I like watching baseball, I love eating hotdogs and apple pie, and my wife drives a Chevrolet (I guess that will count). I mean you cannot get any more American than that! Then there is the American Dream of owning your own home and having a rewarding career. Well, thanks be to God, I can say that God has blessed me with all those things.

But if the truth be known, we as Americans have a much greater need today. As Paul thought of his country in Romans 10:1, he said:

Me heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

We are truly blessed in American. But what every American needs the most is to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. With everything going on in our country I cannot help but think ,what if everybody were saved? It sure would help in so many different areas, wouldn’t it? What American needs now more than ever is not a political solution but spiritual salvation. Let’s do our part sharing the Gospel.

Let’s continue to pray without ceasing and remember 2 Chronicles 7:14:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way: then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.

Thank you for allowing us to take a vacation. I am going to fish and eat and take naps and fish some more, if Sharon will let me (LOL), just kidding.

I love you all! I love America, I love the Lord Jesus Christ, and I love being your pastor.

Pastor Buckshot, Phil. 4:13
